We Recommend

As the cycling route from Maribor to Ptuj offers plenty of beautiful natural scenery, we recommend making a few additional stops along the way. After visiting the Roman Burial Mounds in Miklavž, stop in Starše to explore the educational nature trail and wetland area, then continue to Zlata Beach in Zlatoličje before heading towards Vicus Fortunae in Hajdina.

After exploring the Drava Natura exhibition in Ptuj, you can enjoy a delicious meal at Restaurant Ribič, visit the Ptuj Wine Cellar for a guided tour and wine tasting, discover the Town Tower on a guided tour, or embark on a cycling adventure to Mestni Vrh.

For your return journey to Maribor, you can either take the train or cycle back.
